Natural Treatment for H. pylori: What Works? Natural treatments Traditional treatments Outlook Takeaway Prevention The basics h pylori natural treatment Highlights Research has found that some natural remedies may help treat H. pylori infection. Olive oil may be effective against three antibiotic-resistant H. pylori strains. Eating raw or Manuka honey may shorten overall treatment time. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) are bacteria that infect the lining of your stomach. According to 1998 data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), these bacteria are responsible for up to 80 percent of gastric ulcers and 90 percent of duodenal ulcers. They may also cause other stomach problems, including: burning pain in the abdomen bloating nausea loss of appetite frequent burping unexplained weight loss The use of conventional treatments like antibiotics can be difficult for some people. It’s possible to experience negative side effects, such as nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite. Some people are resistant to antibiotics, which can complicate traditional approaches to treatment. As a result, interest in natural treatments is growing. Natural treatments 7 natural treatments for H. pylori infection Many in vivo and in vitro studies on natural H. pylori treatments have been done. Most treatments reduced the number of bacteria in the stomach but failed to permanently eradicate them. Be sure to talk with your doctor before beginning a natural treatment regimen. You shouldn’t replace your recommend treatment for H. pylori with natural remedies. With your doctor’s approval, you can use natural treatments as adjuvant therapy. This may increase the effects of conventional drugs. Probiotics Probiotics help maintain the balance between good and bad gut bacteria. According to a 2012 study, taking probiotics before or after standard H. pylori treatment may improve eradication rates. Antibiotics kill both good and bad bacteria in your stomach. Probiotics help replenish good bacteria. They may also reduce your risk of developing yeast overgrowth. Researchers found evidence to suggest that the bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus delivers the best results. Green tea A 2009 study on mice showed that green tea may help kill and slow the growth of Helicobacter bacteria. The study found that consuming green tea before an infection prevents stomach inflammation. Consuming the tea during an infection reduced the severity of gastritis. Honey Honey has shown antibacterial abilities against H. pylori. Additional research supports this conclusion. No research to date has shown that honey can eradicate the bacteria on its own. Researchers suggest that using honey with standard treatments may shorten treatment time. Raw honey and Manuka honey may have the most antibacterial effects. Olive oil Olive oil may also treat H. pylori bacteria. A 2007 study showed that olive oil has strong antibacterial abilities against eight H. pylori strains. Three of those strains are antibiotic-resistant. Olive oil also remains stable in gastric acid. Licorice root Licorice root is a common natural remedy for stomach ulcers. It may also fight H. pylori. According to a 2009 study, licorice root doesn’t directly kill the bacteria, though it can help prevent it from sticking to cell walls. Broccoli sprouts A compound in broccoli sprouts called sulphoraphane may be effective against H. pylori. Research on mice and humans suggests that it reduces gastric inflammation. It also may lower bacteria colonization and its effects. A study on people with both type 2 diabetes and H. pylori showed that broccoli sprout powder fights the bacteria. It also improved cardiovascular risk factors.

in the same way air filters remove dust, pollen, and other allergens, the kidneys remove wastes and toxins from the blood. Modern environmental pollutants, UTIs, and drugs like NSAIDs can lead to serious damage to the kidneys, and processed foods only increase the risk. Since we simply can’t replace our kidneys like we might an air filter, regular kidney cleansing can go a long way in protecting the health of these vital organs. Here are 10 essential facts for receiving the most from a kidney cleanse. 1. A Good Cleanse May Include Symptoms Any good detox program will cause the body to experience symptoms similar to that of the flu or the cold. This is good! Although it may seem counterintuitive, these symptoms indicate the body is flushing toxins out of the blood and tissue. Symptoms may include fatigue, headache, nausea, moodiness, gas, difficulty sleeping, and increased thirst. In some cases, symptoms may also include general aches and pains and possibly even a rash. The type and experience of any symptom varies from one individual to another. 2. Passing Kidney Stones is Normal The increased water consumed during a kidney cleanse increases the chance of flushing kidney stones. This is very beneficial as passing them eliminates the intense pain associated with lodged stones. Unfortunately, the crystals can stress the urinary tract and lead to nausea and pain in the groin area when they pass from the body. If you develop a fever and similar chills, it may indicate an infection and the need for medical attention. 3. Don’t Eat Solid Food To ensure a successful cleanse, it is wise to consume only liquids. Strictly consuming liquids encourages the removal of excess food from the intestines. While this may not seem related to the kidneys, it reduces the food-accumulated toxins in the intestines and the rest of the body. Plus, the increased liquids provide more fluids to flush and cleanse the kidneys. 4. Eat Watermelon OK, so this might be somewhat contradictory to the last recommendation, but stay with me. Watermelon is not a typical solid food as it contains more than 90% water, providing essential fluids the body needs during a cleanse. The remainder of the food is fiber which helps clean away buildup in the intestines, thus reducing toxic stressors. Watermelon is also a diuretic, encouraging urine flow that aids the removal of toxins from the kidneys. The high potassium content helps break down kidney stones so wastes can be removed through normal urination. The potassium content of watermelon contributes to lowering blood pressure, an important aspect of kidney health. 5. Plan for a 3-Day Cleanse Three days is the minimum amount of time needed to cleanse the kidneys and encourage toxin removal. For those three days drink plenty of water, organic vegetable or fruit juices, and herbal tea. Foods like watermelon and certain herbal supplements can help the body remove toxins and improve the effectiveness of the cleanse. 6. Consume Plenty of Water Too much water can be just as bad for you as too little. Drink too much and electrolytes flush from the body, creating dangerous chemical imbalances. As a general rule, consume roughly half of your body weight (in ounces) of water daily. So, if you weigh 150 pounds you should aim for 75 ounces, or about nine 8-oz glasses of water. Although clean, clear water is ideal, fluid can come from a variety of sources, such as juices or broths. 7. Prevent Electrolyte Loss Drinking only water during a cleanse could increase electrolyte loss, possibly leading to an electrolyte imbalance. Avoid this problem by drinking homemade organic vegetable broth. Take a variety of chopped organic vegetables such as carrots, beets, onion, celery, sweet potatoes, and dark leafy greens and simmer in water for over an hour. Consume this broth several times a day. 8. Quick Relief is Possible While a three-day cleanse is ideal, the pain of a kidney stone may alert us to the need for a quicker response. Try this prior to a full kidney cleanse to treat and begin cleansing the kidneys. At the first sign of pain, mix 2 ounces of organic olive oil with 2 ounces of organic lemon juice. Drink this straight and follow with 12 ounces of purified water. Thirty minutes later squeeze half a lemon into another 12 ounces of purified water and add a tablespoon of organic raw apple cider vinegar. Drink. Once the pain diminishes, plan and follow a cleanse to get the remainder of kidney crystallization and toxins out of the system. 9. Use Lemon Juice Add lemon juice to water, or any other juice or broth you plan to consume. The citrate in lemons helps break down calcium oxalate stones. As a guide, use at least 4-5 lemons daily. Drinking a cup of hot water with the juice of half an organic lemon refreshes, supplies citrate, and tastes great. 10. Take Herbs Known for Freshening the Kidneys Several herbs have a long history of use and application as kidney supporters. Most of these plants can now be found in supplement form, and some can also be found whole and dried to be made into a tea. Some of these herbs include: Hydrangea Root This North American herb has been used for centuries by Native Americans and early settlers for supporting kidney health. The biochemicals in the root appear to smooth the edges of some calcium-based kidney stones. This makes passing these stones easier. Hydrangea also supports the body’s use of calcium, a key mineral to stone formation. Gravel Root Commonly called Joe-pye weed, this is another Native American herb. It contains euparin, a plant chemical shown to promote kidney and urinary health. Euparin encourages the breakdown of calcium deposits. Marshmallow root Marshmallow may soothe the tissue in the kidneys and urinary tract, possibly providing relief from painful symptoms associated with common kidney ailments. The root also encourages urination, thereby initiating a natural release of kidney stones. A Final Thought Even after a kidney cleanse, it is crucial that you always keep your kidneys healthy. A cleanse may be helpful for removing accumulated toxins, but it doesn’t necessarily stop them from accumulating again. Consuming a healthy diet with plenty of vegetables, monounsaturated fat, and lean protein can be helpful for keeping the whole body in check. When you choose to do a cleanse, make sure to include juices and broths to maintain health throughout the process. And lastly, before beginning a cleanse of this sort, consult with your doctor to ensure your health can support this activity. Have you tried a kidney cleanse before? What was your process and how did it work? Please let us know your experiences in the comments! †Results may vary. Wayne Are you suggesting not eating any solids for 3 days? slobotnavich As one who used to suffer frequent bouts with kidney stones, I found that by force-drinking water at the first sign of one coming on I’d normally manage to pass the stone in fairly short order. While doctors have told me that I’d likely be afflicted with kidney stones for the rest of my life, shortly after discovering the force-drinking cure they simply stopped altogether – haven’t had one in at least twenty years now. hi friends today i bring tips how to clean liver in these days have a lot of problem about liver nature give us a lot of things we can clean liver without any medicine make liver happy and strong 14 Foods that Cleanse the Liver Length: 5 minutes In the past, I have discussed my favorite cleansing foods. The list in this article is a little more specific and focuses mainly on foods that can help cleanse your liver. All it takes is a few simple steps to promote normal liver health. In addition to taking a liver cleansing supplement, and performing at least two liver and gallbladder cleanses per year, eating the following foods is the best way to keep your liver healthy and functioning. I encourage you to incorporate these liver cleanse foods into your diet. 1. Garlic Garlic Just a small amount of this pungent white bulb has the ability to activate liver enzymes that help your body flush out toxins.[1] Garlic also holds high amounts of allicin and selenium, two natural compounds that aid in liver cleansing. 2. Grapefruit High in both vitamin C and antioxidants, citrus fruits like grapefruit, oranges, limes, and lemons support the natural cleansing abilities of the liver.[2] Have a small glass of freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice to boost production of the liver detoxification enzymes that help flush out carcinogens and other toxins. 3. Beets and Carrots Beets Both are extremely high in plant-flavonoids and beta-carotene; eating beets and carrots can stimulate and support overall liver function.[3] 4. Green Tea This liver-loving beverage is full of plant-based antioxidants known as catechins—compounds known to assist liver function.[4] Green tea is a delicious, healthy addition to any diet. Just remember that green tea offers the benefits, not green tea extract. Some research suggests green tea extract may actually have a negative effect on liver health.[5] Keep it simple and stick to the beverage to enjoy the benefits of green tea. 5. Leafy Green Vegetables Leafy Greens One of our most powerful allies in cleansing the liver, leafy greens can be eaten raw, cooked, or juiced. Extremely high in chlorophyll, greens soak up environmental toxins from the blood stream.[6] With their distinct ability to neutralize heavy metals, chemicals, and pesticides, these cleansing foods offer a powerful protective mechanism for the liver. Incorporate leafy greens such as bitter gourd, arugula, dandelion greens, spinach, mustard greens, and chicory into your diet. This will increase creation and flow of bile—the substance that removes waste from the organs and blood. 6. Avocados This nutrient-dense superfood helps the body produce glutathione, a compound that is necessary for the liver to cleanse harmful toxins.[7] 7. Apples Apple High in pectin, apples hold the chemical constituents necessary for the body to cleanse and release toxins from the digestive tract. This, in turn, makes it easier for the liver to handle the toxic load during the cleansing process.[2, 8] 8. Olive Oil Cold-pressed organic oils such as olive, hemp, and flaxseed are great for the liver when used in moderation. They help the body by providing a lipid base that can absorb harmful toxins in the body.[9] In this way, they take some of the burden off the liver. 9. Alternative Grains If your diet includes wheat, flour, or other standard grains, it’s time to make changes. And alternative grains like quinoa, millet, and buckwheat can help. Your liver is your body’s filter for toxins, and if you have certain sensitivities, grains that contain gluten only add to them. One study found that persons who experienced sensitivity to gluten also experienced abnormal liver enzyme test results.[10] 10. Cruciferous Vegetables Broccoli and cauliflower are good sources of glucosinolate, which supports enzyme production in the liver. These natural enzymes flush carcinogens and other toxins from the body, and may significantly lower risks associated with cancer.[2] 11. Lemons and Limes Lemons and Limes These citrus fruits are high in vitamin C, which aids the body in synthesizing toxic materials into substances that can be absorbed by water. Drinking freshly-squeezed lemon or lime juice in the morning can stimulate the liver.[2] 12. Walnuts High in the amino acid arginine, walnuts support the liver in detoxifying ammonia. [11] Walnuts are also high in glutathione and omega-3 fatty acids,[12] which support normal liver cleansing.[13, 14] Make sure you chew the nuts until they are liquefied before swallowing. 13. Cabbage Much like broccoli and cauliflower, eating cabbage stimulates liver detoxifying enzymes that help flush out toxins. Kimchi, coleslaw, cabbage soup, and sauerkraut are great cabbage-foods to add to your diet.[2] 14. Turmeric Turmeric is the liver’s favorite spice. Try adding some of this detoxifying goodness into your next lentil stew or veggie dish for an instant liver pick-me-up. Turmeric helps boost liver detoxification by assisting enzymes that actively flush out dietary toxins.[1] This golden spice tastes great in all kinds of dishes, but you can further boost your intake with a turmeric supplement. A word of warning; turmeric supplements are somewhat notorious for low-quality ingredients and even outright dangerous contamination.[15] Only buy the highest quality turmeric from the most reputable sources. I encourage you to try Global Healing Center’s own Turmeric supplement. This premium liquid supplement contains potent antioxidants and is sourced only from organic Curcuma longa root.
